food drive

HEY GUYS! I'm just going to do a quick post about the food drive that I did for a food shelf in my neighborhood. It was so fun and I got a LOT of food to help out some of the people who rely on food shelves for most of their nourishment. Basically what I did was create a really cute flier, explaining what the food shelf most needed and for people to put a paper bag full of any food or items they wanted to donate out on their front step on a certain day. Then I went around the neighborhood passing out fliers and on the day specified I went around and picked up the bags and took them to the food shelf! It was fairly easy, really fun and I got to help the community out a little. It was great.

The experience of community service and helping out those less fortunate is a really rewarding experience and it's great to give without expecting something in return. A lot of times, I forget about the struggles with money and food supply that are happening right in my neighborhood and I just feel so grateful about being able to not have to worry about that kind of thing.

So yeah, COMMUNITY SERVICE RULEZ

Here's a not-cute pic of me with some of da food I received from my neighbors for the food drive:

see u guys later!!!! xo
